Hey Everyone! Welcome!

I am Prashanthi. I am from India and am currently living in the US. Yes, u guessed it right! I moved here with my husband, Nachiket (an IT geek of course!). I love the country so far and have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences here.

Apart from being foodies, Nachiket and I love travelling. Both of us believe that ““The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine. Although in the short span of our married lives so far, we have embarked on just a handful of journeys, we have brought our lessons back home with us. One of those lessons for me has been the cuisines and food of different places. I love cooking, baking and anything that results in food on your plate! We are primarily vegetarians and my blog is predominantly veggie.

I have been cooking for as long as I can remember. From helping my mom in the kitchen at age 7 to making instant noodles for my brother and me at age 9, I have been hanging around kitchens for a while now. I have learnt the basics of cooking (like how the oil looks when it is hot or how much salt is just right) from my mom. You would find a few of her recipes here; some adapted my style and some just the way she makes it- verbatim! My dad cooks too and I have learnt from him one of the most important things I practice in my kitchen “Anything can be made in a jiffy!” Of course, I hear my mom’s voice in my head “Not everything can be made in a jiffy. It results in burnt food!” 😀 Like every kid, I have found my balance and my style.

My best friend and husband, Nachiket is the mastermind behind the design and technicalities of this website. A humble, down to Earth guy (But he sure is lazy!), he would never want me to add this sentence about him. I also want to thank my brother, family and a few dear friends who have always appreciated my cooking no matter how bad the dish has been! It has played a huge role in boosting my confidence.

Lo! Nachiket and I present this humble attempt at our food blog! I hope you all enjoy trying out these recipes as much as I do.
