Guess what we had for dinner thrice in the last two weeks? That’s right! Burnt Garlic noodles, burnt garlic noodles and more burnt garlic noodles! I want to say I am really done eating this and I can have no more! But every time my-obsessed with this-noodle-dish-husband suggests (read, begs) it for dinner, I cave. Then, I think, well, it’s not bad and then serve it onto my plate and my tummy, brain, heart (I swear, most of the times, these three are never in agreement!) just want more! Continue reading

Egg Drop Curry

Egg Drop Curry can easily be classified under a quick weeknight dinner or a leisurely brunch. Mildly spiced with a creamy texture lent by the coconut milk, egg drop curry is definitely a crowd-pleaser.  As with most dishes I share I have a few variations that you could adapt which has been given in the my take section. This Starbucks Banana Walnut Bread holds a special place in my heart because it marked my first ever baking adventure. Back home, baking is not something I grew up with. Firstly, the stoves in India are not ranges with 4 burners and an oven and storage space etc. Second, not everyone has a microwave-oven combo or an oven. So, baking is mostly using a pressure cooker. Of course, things have changed with time and a microwave oven combo has become a part of almost every kitchen and ranges are coming into vogue. But, my trysts with baking began a couple… Continue reading

Zucchini Hashbrown Muffins are perfect for your weekend brunch or a quick weekday breakfast. Wholesome, nutritious, healthy and the best of all (a quality that does not usually go with aforementioned words), TASTY! There is always a right way and a wrong way of doing things. Take hash browns for example. You can have a greasy, deep fried, carb-loaded potato (I looove carbs, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have them in moderation) hashbrown from a drive through on your way to work OR have these super-light, baked, no carb zucchini hashbrowns made at home using the best of ingredients. The… Continue reading

Cajun Deviled Eggs is my first ever attempt at making the ever famous deviled eggs. Eggs are the only non-vegetarian thing that I cook at home. So, when my research showed that eggs are good for skin, I grabbed the opportunity to add some diversity to my blog and made Deviled Eggs as a part of RAVISHING TUESDAYS. First, the benefits of eggs:             1)      Smooth Skin – Need I elaborate?!          2)      Contains choline which in turn produces proteins that keep skin looking and feeling firm and smooth.       … Continue reading
