Date Rolls filled with nuts, soft, chewy and the next best thing to caffeine to jolt your senses awake with a burst of energy!  I have used pitted mejdool dates. They are a soft variety of dates with a caramel like outer skin. I did not use a food processor but chopped the dates by hand (not because I wanted to be a hero but I thought the dates might stick to the blades and become mushy an create a mess which would take up more of my time than cutting by hand…so :P). Also, I have used some Marie… Continue reading

(For tips on serving Basmati, jump straight ahead to the my-take section) O.K. Reasons for the delay? I try to keep my weekend blogging-free. It helps me demarcate a work-week. Carrot Salad
FacebookTwitterEmailYummlyTumblrStumbleUponWhatsAppGoogle+

I am basically a health freak.  Not in the conventional sense probably because I eat junk, fried food, starchy food but… Most of the meals I prepare are balanced meals. If one meal had some deep fried veggie in it, the second meal of the day will include a salad and some entrée low on calories. What does this mean for my husband, Nachiket and our future children? Don’t ever think about skipping your veggies! Carrot Salad is a family hand-me down recipe. I learnt this from my sis-in-law who learnt it from someone who learnt it from…. Huh… I… Continue reading
